Another small turnout for today's graded scratch racing at Laanecoorie, partly due to a strong representation of Central Vic Vets at tomorrow's Open in Colac.

The cycling gods smiled on us today. We had great weather, a strong field of over thirty riders and the opportunity to take a bit of cash from club stalwart and race sponsor Ric Richard Mcintosh.

The Central Vic Vets were very well represented at today's women's race at Learmonth, with Andrea Wilson and Aileen O'Brien figuring in the placings - congratulations to all - but that, combined with the less-than-fantastic weather - resulted in a very small field at Harcourt for the Bendigo Bank Dash for Cash handicap.

They call it "The Race of Truth"- and sometimes the truth hurts.
